Happiness is...

Yesterday I went in and quit my evil job at the call centre! This was prompted by the feeling I had all week that I would burst into tears on the phone with a customer. Also, by successfully passing the typing test and getting on with Supertemp! Also by having a very promising meeting with a recruiter for English schools in Korea! The exclamation point is my new friend!
I am pleased that my last call was a guy who started to tell me I should come out to California, then, when I sounded hesitant, went off on the evils of internet dating and how he had to kick out a tenant who did it because he was afraid she would get murdered and bring down his property value! It was classic.

Come and say hi when you stop by S-temp next. I'm two doors down the hall. (except Thu-Fri next week) You could even use our internet.

I worked for Supertemp two summers ago. It was a great experience! Is Georgie still there?

Yay for your last phone call being a worthy one. And double yay for you getting out of there!

Yes! The first thing she told me about herself is that she has an ex-husband in Malaysia... eh, it came up in conversation. She is so cheerful, though! I hope they actually find me work this time!

I loved Georgie! I called her almost three years after I had left Halifax about a reference and she remembered me right off the bat. They're the best temp agency I've ever worked with. I always had steady work.

Oh man, can you imagine getting evicted for internet dating? YIKES.

Anyway, yay for you! Temp work is my very favourite thing.

Yeah for not having a job you hate. Good move. I hope you like the new job. We spend so much time at work we shoudl at least enjoy it.

And wow, I'm glad I wasn't evicted for internet dating.
